(On Sale) SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3P Wireless: Budget Gaming Headset?

TL;DR: A light, flexible wireless headset that works across PlayStation, Switch, PC, and phones, a smart gamer gift ahead of the holidays, with longer-battery upgrades available higher up the Nova range.

Why it is on our radar

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3P Wireless is discounted on Amazon right now, and gaming headsets are a popular gift heading into the holidays. With Black Friday ahead, it is a good time to see whether a mid-range wireless pair covers what you need.

What you get

The headset connects through a multi-platform USB-C dongle over 2.4GHz or through Bluetooth, so you can switch between a PC, PlayStation, Switch, handhelds, phones, and tablets. SteelSeries pairs it with the Arctis Companion app, which offers more than 200 game presets to tune audio, and uses custom neodymium magnetic drivers. The listing also highlights a lightweight build of about 260 grams, a stretchy headband, and a dual-hinge design meant to add durability.

Battery life

SteelSeries rates a full charge at up to 40 hours, and its fast charge is said to give up to 9 hours of playback from 15 minutes plugged in. These are manufacturer figures, so your real results will depend on volume and connection type. That is enough for a long week of casual play without reaching for the cable.

Who it is for

Players who split time between a console and a PC, parents shopping for a teen gamer, and anyone who wants wireless audio without paying for a flagship will get the most from it. The lightweight design also suits long sessions.

Who should skip it

There are separate versions for different platforms, including a PlayStation, Switch, and PC style and an Xbox, Switch, and PC style, so you must pick the right one for your console. If you want the longest battery life or more advanced features, higher models in the Arctis Nova range, such as the Nova 5 and Nova 7, list longer battery ratings. The preset tuning also depends on a mobile companion app. The discount is a limited time deal, so check the current price on Amazon.

Before you buy

Confirm which console you play on and choose the matching version. If you are gifting it, note the color options and check that the recipient has a free USB-C or compatible USB port for the dongle. If you plan to use it mostly over Bluetooth with a phone, remember that features can differ between connection types.

Bottom line

The Arctis Nova 3P Wireless is a practical, versatile gaming headset, and the current sale makes the timing attractive for gift season. We have not tested it ourselves, so this review reflects the manufacturer's published details and not hands-on testing.
