TL;DR: Amazon Prime includes one free Twitch channel subscription every month, plus free games and loot, through Prime Gaming. Link your Amazon and Twitch accounts, pick "Subscribe with Prime" on any channel, and re-claim it each month (it does not auto-renew). No Prime yet? Start a free trial.
Here is a Prime perk almost nobody uses: a free Twitch channel subscription every month, on top of free games and in-game loot. It is included at no extra cost through Prime Gaming. You just have to claim it.
How to set it up
- Link your accounts. From the Prime Gaming section of your Amazon account (or the Connections tab in your Twitch settings), connect your Amazon and Twitch logins. A free Twitch account is all you need on the Twitch side.
- Pick a channel. Go to any streamer's page and choose Subscribe with Prime instead of a paid sub.
- Enjoy the perks. You get that channel's subscriber emotes, a sub badge, and ad-light viewing on that channel, plus you support the creator at no cost to you.
The one thing to remember
The free sub does not auto-renew. You have to re-claim it each month, and you can switch to a different channel whenever you like. Set a monthly reminder so it never goes to waste.
Don't have Prime yet?
The free Twitch sub, free monthly games and loot all come bundled with Amazon Prime, the same membership that covers fast shipping and Prime Video. You can start a free Prime trial and claim your first Twitch sub right away. See our full Prime benefits guide for everything else that is included.
